How does the free Exchange work?

It's simple - help others with their research by taking surveys, and get responses to your own survey in return. The more surveys you complete, the higher your survey moves up our list. Think of it as a community where students and researchers help each other out.

Will this really get me results?

As long as you put in the work and your audience is the correct one, yes! While this is an exchange and people are free to take your survey, we see that as long as you have the correct demographic needs and fill out other surveys, you'll get results.

What types of people will fill out my survey?

Our community is primarily made up of university students and academics (about 80% are between 17-26 years old). We have respondents from all over the world, including France, Netherlands, UK, Germany, Portugal, Spain and USA. Perfect if you're targeting students or Gen Zers.

Is it actually free? What's the catch?

Yes, SurveySwap is 100% free! But, you have to be willing to fill surveys of other researchers. We also have to keep the lights on, and a roof above our heads. The 2% of users who do pay for respondents rather than fill out surveys help us out keep the exchange running.

How long will it take to get responses?

1 to 4 weeks. Response speed depends on how actively you participate. Taking surveys regularly keeps your survey higher in the list, which means faster responses.

I don't have time to take surveys, can I still use your platform?

Absolutely! If you're short on time, check out our paid Exchange option. You can boost your survey to the top of the list without taking other surveys.
