How to use SurveyMonkey with SurveySwap to get Respondents for Free
Did you use SurveyMonkey as an external survey builder, and want to use SurveySwap to get respondents? In this easy guide, we will explain to you how to do it.
Our platform works with credit links to import surveys that were made with external survey builders, like Google Forms, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey or any other. If you use the survey builder from SurveySwap (by choosing to "create a survey"), you won't need to place a credit link.
Video explanation for importing a SurveyMonkey survey to SurveySwap
(1) How do you find your credit link?
On the dashboard, click on ‘new survey’, ‘import survey’ and then you will have to fill out some information about your survey. When finished, you will find the credit link on the next page.
Later in time, you can also find it by clicking on 'settings' for the corresponding survey on your dashboard.
(2) Pasting the credit link in SurveyMonkey
The next step is to complete your survey import by pasting your credit link in your external survey. Make sure you copy the credit link and go to the survey you’ve made with SurveyMonkey.
Paid version of SurveyMonkey
When you use SurveyMonkey as your external survey builder you need a paid profile to add the SurveySwap link after the submit button. Follow the following steps:
To add a Custom Thank You(SurveyMonkey):
1. Go to the Collect Responses section of your survey.
2. Click the name of the collector and access the collector options. You may need to click Show advanced options.
3. Turn on Custom Thank You (previously known as Thank You Page.
4. Customize the message, and paste the SurveySwap link. Your changes save automatically.
Free version of SurveyMonkey
When you use a free SurveyMonkey profile there are two things you can do, the first option is to rewrite your survey with the SurveySwap survey builder. When you use SurveySwap’s own survey builder, you won’t need to place a link.
Another option (less recommended) is to add an extra question to your survey and paste the credit link here. However, you have to make sure people first COPY your credit link, then click on the ‘submit’ button of your survey, and the last step is pasting your credit link in another tab of your internet browser (i.e.: Chrome/Safari).
An example message:
(1) First copy my credit link, (2) and paste it in another browser tab, (3) BEFORE you click on submit.
Paste here your credit link.
If people only click on the credit link, you will not receive any respondents, because they will not click on the ‘submit’ button.
Congratulations! You are now able to use your SurveyMonkey survey on SurveySwap.
